Welcome to The Soft Edit. This website is a repository of essays, guides, and visual notes detailing my journey toward a more intentional everyday life.
Originally from New York, I moved to Copenhagen in 2022 to work as an independent digital consultant and photographer. Surrounded by the Danish philosophy of hygge and a societal commitment to functional, quiet design, I began to restructure my relationship with work, stuff, and attention.
Before launching this digital magazine, I spent seven years in digital media strategy, managing campaigns for luxury lifestyle publications. I saw firsthand how the attention economy operates: optimizing for outrage, constant notifications, and clicks. The Soft Edit is my resistance to that rhythm.
This space is fully funded by brand partnerships, sponsored articles, and affiliate links from products that have survived months of daily service.
Creative Values
Conscious Curation
I believe in buying less but buying better. If an item is highlighted in "The Edit" Roundup, it has been used in my home or wardrobe for at least a year.
Slow Exploration
Travel is not a checklist of sights. I prefer documenting the quiet corners: the scent of damp pine needles in Kyoto, or the sunset light on Lisbon's terracotta rooftops.
Attention as a Muscle
Our focus is our most precious asset. Setting boundaries—like screen-free morning resets and working without pings—protects creative work.
Warm imperfection
I love analog details—film grain, squeaky drawers, slightly tilted lines. Beauty lives in utility and wear, not glossy artificial surfaces.
The Journey
Managed creative campaigns for architectural and luxury fashion publications.
Transitioned to freelance consulting, assisting slow-fashion and interior studios on photography layouts.
Moved to Denmark. Established the digital magazine, documenting lifestyle, travel scrapbooks, and routines.
